Vegetable varieties named and released at the Hawaii Agricultural Experiment Station for commercial production are: Higgins and Wilder papaya varieties and Waimanalo Long egg plant, which is a productive early bearer with good market appeal. The introduced varieties of sweet corn Supersweet 4 and Hawaii H68 have also been released, and the high-yielding Macadamia clone Kau is on trial as a commercial variety.
