Assessment of the lime requirements of eastern Nigeria soils

, : Assessment of the lime requirements of eastern Nigeria soils. Soil Science 113(5): 363-372

In soyabeans, used as a pH-sensitive crop, DM yields and the uptake of N and K into the tops were increased by 5% with increase in pH to 6.5-7 as a result of liming acid soils from 20 sites in the Rivers, E. Central and S.E. States of Nigeria. The increase in P uptake was not significant and with further increases in soil pH, DM yields and N and K uptake decreased.
