A summary of dairy statistics for Belgium is given for 1973 in comparison to 1972 data. The figures for 1973 (1972 figures in parentheses) were: dairy cow population (Dec. census), 1 017 553 (999 778); average milk yield, 3476 (3596) l.; average fat %, 4.487 (4.48); milk delivered to dairies, 2772.4 million l. (2851.2 million l.) representing respectively 79.09 and 76.36% of the total milk production; number of dairies, 91 (90).
