Co-operation and growth in the developing countries: an analysis of the contribution of co-operatives to economic development

, : Co-operation and growth in the developing countries: an analysis of the contribution of co-operatives to economic development. Kooperation und Wachstum in Entwicklungslandern; eine Analyse der Beitrags der Genossenschaften zur wirtschaftlichen Entwicklung: 273

Part I briefly describes the different characteristics of developing countries, outlining economic, demographic, cultural, and social classifications which are used in the remainder of the book. This is followed by an account of some specific aspects of growth in the developing countries which are neglected in conventional growth theory. The second part shows what is expected, or can be expected, of co-operatives and similar associations in the developing countries.
