Contributions to the bionomics of climbing cutworms: the life history and seasonal development of Eupsilia morrisoni

, : Contributions to the bionomics of climbing cutworms: the life history and seasonal development of Eupsilia morrisoni. Journal of Economic Entomology 65(5): 1333-1336

In this further paper on the bionomics of climbing cutworms, notes are given on Eupsilia morrisoni (Grote) from observations in Ohio in 1968-70. The distribution of the Noctuid in the United States and Canada extends from Nova Scotia in the east to North Dakota in the west and from southern Quebec in the north to southern Ohio in the south. Although the larvae are sometimes common on unsprayed deciduous fruit trees in bloom, they apparently cause no economic injury.
