Aculops pelekassi (Keifer) was observed on Citrus on the Adriatic coast of Yugoslavia (in Montenegro) for the first time in 1962, where it causes yield losses both in quantity and in quality. In 1968-71, 19 acaricides were tested, most of which had a definite effect on A. pelekassi.
