Control of blast with fungicides

, : Control of blast with fungicides. Lavoura Arrozeira 25(270): 40-41

In a trial at Cachoeirinha, 5 fungicides were evaluated for control of blast in rice (a) EEA 405, (b) EEA 404, (c) Caloro, (d) Stirpe and (e) EEA 201. Grain yields (mean of all fungicide treatments) were (a) 3.69 t/ha, (b) 2.85 t, (c) 3.24 t, (d) 3.56 t and (e) 3.65 t. Treatment with Blasticidin-S, kasumin, Kitazin P, Hinosan E, and Dithane M-45 gave yields (mean of all cultivars) of 3.45, 3.65, 3.41, 3.64 and 3.14 t/ha, respectively, compared with 3.10 t for the untreated controls.
