Diagnosis of vibriosis in fish

, : Diagnosis of vibriosis in fish. Veterinariya, Moscow (7): 57

Freshwater and marine fishes infected with Vibrio anguillarum and V. caspii had characteristic haemorrhagic lesions on the body, fins and gills, and in the viscera. Diagnosis was by isolation of vibrio from spleen, kidneys, liver and intestines. Vibrio was cultured without difficulty in a peptone medium (pH 7.6-8.0) at 25-26 deg C.
