Effect of different levels of nitrogen fertilization on yields of a mountain meadow

, : Effect of different levels of nitrogen fertilization on yields of a mountain meadow. Acta Agraria et Silvestria, Agraria 13(2): 21-35

A Festuca rubra/Agrostis tenuis/Anthoxanthum odoratum meadow at about 700 m alt. was given 120 kg P2O5, 160 kg K2O and 40-240 kg N/ha annually in 1968-70. Average DM yields (2 cuts) were 3.67 t/ha without fertilizer, 4.26 t/ha with P, 4.04 t/ha with PK, 5.58 t/ha with 40 kg N + PK, 5.9 t/ha with 80 kg N + PK, 6.55 t/ha with 120 kg N + PK, 7.38 t/ha with 160 kg N + PK, 7.83 t/ha with 200 kg N + PK and 8.52 t/ha with 240 kg N + PK.
