Effect of environmental conditions on the embryogenesis of Echinostoma revolutum

, : Effect of environmental conditions on the embryogenesis of Echinostoma revolutum. Eesti Pollumajanduse Akadeemia Teaduslike Toode Kogumik Sbornik Nauchnykh Trudov Estonskoi Sel' skokhozyaistvennoi Akademii (70): 28-29

Echinostoma revolutum eggs took 11 days to develop and there was a 64% hatching rate with water temperatures of 25 to 27 deg C under laboratory conditions. Higher temperatures shortened the embryonation period but reduced hatching rate. The eggs were all destroyed after 2 hours at 60 deg C. At 4 deg C development was slow but the eggs retained their viability. All the eggs died after 30 days at -2 deg C.
