In field trials in 1972-3, Lygus lineolaris and Neurocolpus nubilis were controlled in cotton by spraying twice with insecticides. In 1972, seed cotton yields were 2190 lb/ac without treatment and 1932-2327 lb with insecticide treatment and corresponding yields for 1973 were 1616 lb and 1773-1974 lb.
