Wistar rats were given diets with about 15 to 16% crude protein. For controls protein was of plant origin and for the 3 experimental groups feed of plant origin was replaced by dried skimmed milk 8%, by fish meal 6% or by fish meal, meat-and-bone meal and dried milk each 2% of the diet.
