Effect of the thiamin, riboflavin and vitamin B-6 content of diet on the content of those vitamins in tissues of pregnant rats and their foetuses

, : Effect of the thiamin, riboflavin and vitamin B-6 content of diet on the content of those vitamins in tissues of pregnant rats and their foetuses. Annales de la Nutrition et de l' Amimentation 27(4): 213-223

Wistar rats were reared for 21/2 months on a commercial diet followed by a semisynthetic diet for 3 weeks. They were then divided into groups of pregnant and nonpregnant females which were given the semisynthetic diet with (I) 4 mg thiamin and riboflavin and 1 mg vitamin B-6/kg, (II) 4 mg of each vitamin/kg or (III) 40 mg of each vitamin/kg.
