Effect of transport and other types of stress on live-weight losses and adaptation in fattening bulls

, : Effect of transport and other types of stress on live-weight losses and adaptation in fattening bulls. Tierzucht 28(6): 263-264

Investigations on male calves, weighing 100-200 kg, and on fattened bulls, weighing >400 kg, revealed that weight losses due to transport for 1, 4 or 7 h prior to slaughter increased with increasing length of transport and body weight of the animal.
