Effect of upland irrigation culture on mineral composition of upland, lowland and their hybrid brown rice

, : Effect of upland irrigation culture on mineral composition of upland, lowland and their hybrid brown rice. Proceedings of the Crop Science Society of Japan 44(3): 255-262

The difference between upland rice cultivation with intermittent irrigation after panicle formation and lowland cultivation on the ash, P, K, Mg, Mn and Fe contents of dehusked rice was examined in 20 upland cultivars, 20 lowland cultivars and 14 hybrids between the 2 types. Upland cultivation decreased Mn and increased Fe contents (DM basis) compared with lowland cultivation for all cultivar types.
