Effect of varying levels of nitrogen on the yield and yield attributes of some sorghum varieties

, : Effect of varying levels of nitrogen on the yield and yield attributes of some sorghum varieties. Indian Journal of Agricultural Sciences 42(4): 337-341

In trials during the summer rainy seasons of 1968 and '69, sorghum Vidisha 60-1, CSH 1, and Ujjain 6 were given 0, 40, 80 or 120 kg N/ha. Increase in rates of N increased plant height, length and width of ears, weight of ears/plant, 1000-grain weight and grain yields.
