Efficacy of Stenorol (chloro-6 bromo-7 febrifugine bromohydrate) in the chemoprophylaxis of avian coccidiosis

, : Efficacy of Stenorol (chloro-6 bromo-7 febrifugine bromohydrate) in the chemoprophylaxis of avian coccidiosis. Recueil de Medecine Veterinaire 150(6): 495-503

The efficacity of Stenorol against Eimeria tenella, acervulina, maxima and necatrix was studied. Stenorol gave complete protection against all species when given in the food at 3 ppm, and even at 2 ppm with E. tenella and E. necatrix. Side effects (loss of weight and diminution of appetite) were particularly noticeable at 12 ppm.
