In trials in 1968 and '69 the rice strains IR532-PK27-C2, IR532-PK36-C2, IR532-PK67-C2 and IR532-PK24-C1 yielded 73.92 and 71.70, 85.12 and 57.83, 69.40 and 62.68 and 64.96 and 54.43 maunds paddy/ac, respectively, compared with 55.13 and 50.69 maunds for the control Mehran-69.
