The behaviour of Cryptococcus neoformans with respect to the phagocytic activity of bovine mammary polymorphonuclear leucocytes was compared with that of Candida albicans. The presence of capsular material in C. neoformans did not seem to alter quantitatively the phenomenon of phagocytosis as compared with what occurred in the case of Candida albicans under similar conditions.
