Farmers' financial behaviour

, : Farmers' financial behaviour. Bulletin d' Information du Departement d' Economie et de Sociologie Rurales (1): 7-23

This paper attempts to draw some conclusions on individual farmers' financial behaviour, using data from various studies, and concentrating on attitudes to savings and consumption, and empirical study of farmers' savings function. Simple regression was found to give a reasonable explanation of the formation of savings, but with better results if total rather than farm income data were used. The linear relationship with gross income is better than that with net investment income.
