, : Fundamental studies on residue and movement of forestry herbicides in soil. Bulletin of the College of Agriculture, Utsunomiya University 9(1): 95-112

Experiments in Japan from 1969 to 1972 on the translocation of forest herbicides in the soil showed that movement was relatively great with chlorate, sulphamine and fatty-acid types and relatively slight with phenoxy and benzoic types. Esterized compounds, in particular, showed very little movement. For six compounds tested at standard dosages, the speed of inactivation varied from 4 to 14 weeks.
