Histological changes in the vas deferens of cockerels during growth

, : Histological changes in the vas deferens of cockerels during growth. Japanese Journal of Zootechnical Science 43(10): 586-592

Four weeks after hatching the epithelium of the vas deferens consisted of a single layer of cuboidal and columnar cells, and a few round or oval cells adjacent to the basement membrane. By 6-8 weeks the epithelium contained layers of elongated cells which developed into rod-like cells which projected into the lumen. Ten weeks after hatching these cells were apparently shed into the lumen whilst the round cells adjacent to the basement membrane increased in numbers.

The grafting reactivities with glycidyl methacrylate (GMA) of five xylans from hardwood and cereal sources were compared. The structural property that best predicted the reactivities of xylans with GMA was the fraction of 4-O-methylglucuronic acid...

Due to regulatory changes, fast food companies often depict healthy foods in their television advertisements to children. The present study examined how exposure to advertising for 'healthy' meal bundles to children influenced the select...

We describe our new technique for laparoscopic herniorrhaphy with subumbilical single-site access to treat inguinal hernias in children. First, we inserted a transparent 3-mm trocar and a 2-mm minitrocar at the umbilicus. We then inserted a 3-mm 4...

Irradiation of human renal cell carcinoma before radical tumor nephrectomy resulted in a significantly lower acceptance rate (1 of 7) in nude mice than for nonirradiated tumors (all of 13). The tumor tissue was transplanted into NMRI nu/nu mice im...

Because it has been suggested that alpha 2M could be involved in the generation of amyloid peptide, attention was given to a possible association of alpha 2M expression and amyloid accumulation in the brain. Therefore, we investigated the presence...
