Histological study by light microscopy of the resistance of bean (Phaseolus vulgaris) to anthracnose (Colletotrichum lindemuthianum) as determined by the Cornell gene

, : Histological study by light microscopy of the resistance of bean (Phaseolus vulgaris) to anthracnose (Colletotrichum lindemuthianum) as determined by the Cornell gene. Annales de Phytopathologie 6(4): 359-383

The monogenic resistance of the bean line Cornell 49242 to C. lindemuthianum in the field was of conspicuous interest in controlling equally gamma as well as delta strs. Seedlings of isogenic lines from 4 different sources were inoculated at the hypocotyl stage and the chronology and development of infection was compared in the presence and absence of Cornell 49442 gene.
