Histometric studies on the boar's testis (measurement of the tubuli contorti, Leydig's cells and tissue components.

, : Histometric studies on the boar's testis (measurement of the tubuli contorti, Leydig's cells and tissue components.. Ein Beitrag zur histometrischen Untersuchung am Eberhoden Messungen an den Tubuli contorti und den Leydig' schen Zellen sowie planimetrische Untersuchungen verschiedener Hodengewebskomponenten: 48

Studies were carried out on the left testis of two German Landrace boars slaughtered at 8 months of age. The testes were extracted immediately after slaughter and cut into four longitudinal sections prior to fixing for two hours in Bouin's mixture. They were then cut transversely at regular intervals into seven equal parts; the total of 28 sections were numberd and further immersed in Bouin's mixture. Histological sections were then cut and stained.
