Rats, in 11 groups, received 25 000, 50 000 or 75 000 IU vitamin A/day as retinyl palmitate or retinol, by mouth or intraperitoneally, for 16 days. After death, serum Ca, serum albumin and total serum protein were estimated, bones were X-rayed and heart, lung, liver and kidney tissues were examined for Ca deposits.
