Indexing of exocortis virus-infected citron by using thin-layer chromatography

, : Indexing of exocortis virus-infected citron by using thin-layer chromatography. Plant Disease Reporter 58(1): 82-85

Acetone and water extracts of bark from healthy citron and plants infected with mild or severe isolates of citrus exocortis virus were used. Separation of compounds contained in different extracts was carried out on silica gel H in different solvents and the separated spots examined in daylight and UV light. Some fluorescent compounds in extracts of infected plants were absent from those of healthy ones.
