Induced fertility and sensitivity to PMSG in double-muscled females

, : Induced fertility and sensitivity to PMSG in double-muscled females. 1st World Congress on Genetics applied to Livestock Production, 7-11 October 1974-3 Contributed papers: 81-98

In a group consisting initially of 34 double-muscled Charolais females , in which ovulation had been synchronised by treatment with 1000 IU PMSG, the CR to insemination in spring after their 1st, 2nd and 3rd calvings (at about 3, 4 and 5 yr of age resp.) was 83, 64 and 50% resp. Corresponding data for a group consisting initially of 35 Aquitaine Blond (AB) females , similarly treated, were 83, 72 and 66%.
