In laboratory experiments a clay loam soil and an organic soil were incubated at moisture contents up to 200% of field moisture capacity at temperatures from 239 to 305 deg K. Exchangeable Mn was increased by increasing temperature and soil moisture content, while exchangeable Fe was increased by increasing temperature, but only at moisture levels >100% of field capacity.
