Isolation distances required for sweet clover seed production

, : Isolation distances required for sweet clover seed production. Canada Agriculture 18(3): 13-14

Using a low-coumarin (cu) recessive marker in Melilotus isolation plots, it was found that a high percentage of contamination from crossing occurred with isolation distances from 50 yd to 0.5 mile, resulting from honey-bee pollination when there was little competitive bloom.
