Lice in cattle

, : Lice in cattle. Tasmanian Journal of Agriculture 44(1): 60-64

Notes are given on the biology of lice that infest cattle in Tasmania. For their control, coumaphos, crotoxyphos, diazinon, dioxathion (Delnav), Dursban (chlorpyifos), fenthion and famphur (O,O-dimethyl O-p-dimethylsulphamoylphenyl phosphorothioate) are recommended. Treatments should be repeated after an interval of 14-17 days.
