Morphological responses of Liriodendron tulipifera L. seedlings to acute fast neutron radiation and reduced light

, : Morphological responses of Liriodendron tulipifera L. seedlings to acute fast neutron radiation and reduced light. Radiation Botany 12(3): 205-219

Dormant seedlings of L. tulipifera were irradiated acutely with fast-neutron radiation from an unshielded fast reactor and then grown in light environments of 100, 50 and 25% sunlight. Several morphological responses (diameter increment, terminal and lateral growth, and bud formation) were studied for up to two growing seasons to determine the separate and interacting effects of ionizing radiation and reduced light.
