Observations on influence of feeding horse tamarind (Leucaena glauca Benth.) on the health of cattle in Ghana

, : Observations on influence of feeding horse tamarind (Leucaena glauca Benth.) on the health of cattle in Ghana. Ghana Journal of Agricultural Science 5(2): 153-156

Clinical observations were recorded for 20 days on 8 West African Shorthorn bullocks 20 months old fed on Leucaena glauca. When L. glauca was given as the only feed, there was a general deterioration of health; alopecia and erosions of the oral mucosa were the predominant changes seen. These changes developed in 5 of the 8 bullocks when they were on the feed for 20 days.
