Phosphorus supply characteristics of acid organic soils as measured by desorption and mineralization

, : Phosphorus supply characteristics of acid organic soils as measured by desorption and mineralization. Soil Science 115(1): 18-24

Samples of 16 soils from the Tidewater region ranging from poorly drained mineral soils to deep colloidal mucks with varying responses to applied P were studied. P was desorbed by successive equilibrations with water and mineralization of organic P during incubation was measured.
