Physical properties of Bacillus thuringiensis spray formulations

, : Physical properties of Bacillus thuringiensis spray formulations. Journal of Economic Entomology 68(3): 407-410

Laboratory studies were carried out in Oregon on the physical properties of 12 commercial spray formulations of Bacillus thuringiensis. The properties studied included physical stability, pH, viscosity, specific gravity, evaporation rate, ability to spread or stick, and compatibility with spray equipment, and emphasis was placed on determining the role of various additives and the suitability of formulations for aerial application against insects defoliating forests.
