, : Preliminary results in a genetic improvement program for sunflower in southern Italy. Annali della Facolta di Agraria, Universita di Bari 26(2): 495-510

In field trials in 1970, 4 sunflower cultivars and 8 hybrids were compared. The highest yielding cultivar was Peredovik which gave 122 g seed/plant, but the highest yield was given by hybrid 65 which gave 172 g/plant.
