Part 1 of this conference proceedings contains 23 papers on the natural nidality of diseases, which are mainly concerned with arthropod vectors of disease and diseases affecting wild animals, such as brucellosis and leptospirosis. The 32 papers on protozoology deal with toxoplasmosis; Besnoitia, Anaplasma and Theileria annulata infections in cattle and coccidiosis and spirochaetosis in poultry.
