Relationship of blood sugar and thrombocyte count to the 11-hydroxycorticosteroid status of calves.

, : Relationship of blood sugar and thrombocyte count to the 11-hydroxycorticosteroid status of calves.. Archiv fur Experimentelle Veterinarmedizin 26(Heft.1): 173-182

The changes in blood sugar concentration and thrombocyte count following intravenous injection of corticotrophin at 0.5 I.U./kg body weight and the concentration of 11-OHCS in plasma were studied in calves aged 2-15 weeks. In further experiments, the effect of prednisolone acetate on the blood sugar concentration of young cattle (6 months of age) was investigated.
