Relationship of brown stem rot resistance to soybean mosaic virus infection in soybeans

, : Relationship of brown stem rot resistance to soybean mosaic virus infection in soybeans. Phytopathology 62(7): 792

Five soya-bean lines known to be resistant to Cephalosporium gregatum were compared in the greenhouse with the susceptible cultivar Clark 63 and two susceptible lines, PI171.434 and PI69.507. The resistant lines developed symptoms of infection with soya-bean mosaic virus (SMV) whereas the susceptible lines showed no such symptoms.
