Relative field susceptibility of rice varieties to infestation by the rice leaf roller Cnaphalocrocis medinalis Guenee

, : Relative field susceptibility of rice varieties to infestation by the rice leaf roller Cnaphalocrocis medinalis Guenee. Agricultural Research Journal of Kerala 1975; 12(2): 194-196

Eighteen varieties of rice that had been tested in the laboratory for susceptibility to Cnaphalocrocis medinalis (Gn.) were further tested in the laboratory and field in Kerala, India (cf. preceding abstract). The varieties are ranked in order of the preference shown by adult females for oviposition in the laboratory, and according to the amount of damage caused by larvae to leaves of the plants in the field.
