Sliding hiatus hernia with reflux oesophagitis in two dogs

, : Sliding hiatus hernia with reflux oesophagitis in two dogs. Journal of Small Animal Practice 15(8): 503-509

Two cases of sliding hiatus hernia with gastro-oesophageal reflux and oesophagitis in the dog are described. The diagnosis was based on fluoroscopic examination and confirmed by oesophagoscopy. In both cases corrective surgery was attempted. One animal was clinically normal on re-examination after six months.
