Some aspects of the formation of the nematode fauna under certain crop rotation conditions

, : Some aspects of the formation of the nematode fauna under certain crop rotation conditions. Fauna gel' mintov zhivotnykh i rastenii Kirgizii: 76-84

The dynamics of change in nematofauna during an 11-year cycle of crop rotation was investigated at Issyk-Kul' (Kirgizian USSR). The cycle included the growing of summer-wheat crops at years 1 and 3, potato at year 6 and esparto at years 11 to 13. Comparison was made with monocultures. The results of the investigation indicated, among other things, that nematode populations became very high on wheat roots, with numbers approaching those in monocultures.
