, : Some biochemical studies in European and Asiatic varieties of carrot (Daucus carota). Current Science 43(6): 184-185

The total carotene content, percentage of dry matter and total soluble solids were determined in the roots of two selections and ten cvs of European and Asiatic types of carrot. European types were superior to Asiatic in respect of all these characters.
