Some clinical-chemical values in normal thoroughbreds and trotters

, : Some clinical-chemical values in normal thoroughbreds and trotters. Nordisk Veterinaermedicin 24(2): 85-90

Twenty-four horses of various ages, thoroughbreds and trotters, were bled and the samples analyzed for serum calcium, magnesium, inorganic P, glucose, SGOT and SGPT; standard bicarbonate, bilirubin (direct reacting as well as total). The individual results and the results from each herd as well as from all three herds together are presented. The obtained values are compared with information previously reported in the literature.
