Parts I and II consider chiefly the hazards of attacks by barkbeetles and Blastophagus piniperda caused by the storage of unbarked Spruce and Pine wood in the forest during critical periods, and include notes on the organization of working groups to coordinate logging operations of members so as to minimize the quantities stored and unavoidable spraying with insecticides (only 0.5% of the annual cut is treated).
