Some data on the presence of pesticides in wild animals in France

, : Some data on the presence of pesticides in wild animals in France. Phytiatrie Phytopharmacie 19(2): 55-63

Out of 957 birds and mammals found dead in France in 1962-69, 46% were found to contain one or more pesticides (including insecticides), although the concentrations detected were not necessarily lethal. They consisted mainly of pigeons, hares, partridges and pheasants, but also included larger game and a few domestic animals.
