Studies on the effects of different growth regulators on reproductive physiology and morphology of chilli (Capsicum annuum L.)

, : Studies on the effects of different growth regulators on reproductive physiology and morphology of chilli (Capsicum annuum L.). Vegetable Science 1: 42-46

Flowers with long, "pseudoshort", medium and short styles occur in C. annuum. The short-styled types are those which produce the most fruits; the three other types rarely set fruit. Plants of the variety Suryamukhi were sprayed at the preflowering stage with various concentrations of beta -naphthoxyacetic acid, 2,4,5-trichlorophenoxyacetic acid, alpha -napthaleneacetic acid, 2,4-D, chlorophenoxyacetic acid, gibberellic acid or water (control).
