A total of 374 samples was obtained from 187 clinically normal pigs in Poland and examined for Sarcoptes scabiei (L.). Half of the samples were from the head and neck and the rest from the orifice of the ear. The samples from the head and neck were all negative, but 17.6% of those from the ear were infested.Other references
