Of 119 strains of acid-fast bacilli isolated from lymph node lesions of slaughter pigs and tuberculin-positive pigs 6 were classified, by cultural, biochemical, serological and biological tests, as M. avium serotype I (Schaefer), 98 as serotype II, 2 as serotype III (Marks & Jenkins), 3 as M. pseudofortuitum A (M. vaccae), 3 as M. terrae, and one each as M. bovis, M. tuberculosis, M. scrofulaceum, M. fortuitum, and M. intracellularae.
