Studies on the occurrence of parasites and bacterial and viral infections in southern Tunisian dromedaries

, : Studies on the occurrence of parasites and bacterial and viral infections in southern Tunisian dromedaries. Deutsche Tierarztliche Wochenschrift 82(9): 352-354

Studies on about 250 dromedaries in central and southern Tunisia revealed Hyalomma dromedarii on all animals. Sarcoptes (presumably S. scabiei var. cameli) was also widely distributed. All faecal samples revealed moderate infections with ancylostomatid, trichostrongylid, strongylid and strongyloid worms.
