Studies on the occurrence of pathotypes of the potato cyst nematodes Heterodera rostochiensis and H. pallida in the Federal Republic of Germany

, : Studies on the occurrence of pathotypes of the potato cyst nematodes Heterodera rostochiensis and H. pallida in the Federal Republic of Germany. Mitteilungen aus der Biologischen Bundesanstalt fur Land und Forstwirtschaft, Berlin Dahlem 151: 294-295

The varieties of the test plants (based on resistance to the "Harmerz" population) used for differentiation of potato cyst nematode pathotypes in West Germany are listed. Only one pathotype of H. rostochiensis apart from pathotype A can be definitely identified. Pathotype determination has now been complicated by the discovery of the apparently separate species, H. pallida, which also has pathotypes.
